Annuity Payment Schedule

The annuity option isn't 30 equal checks — each payment is 5% larger than the last, to help offset inflation over the 29-year span. See exactly what each year's payment would be for a given jackpot, not just the concept.

Each payment is calculated so that all 30 payments, added together, equal the full advertised jackpot — with each one exactly 5% larger than the one before it, matching how real multi-state lottery annuities are structured. Verified before publishing: the 30 payments for a test jackpot summed back to the original amount with no meaningful rounding drift. Federal tax here uses the same simplified top-bracket approximation (37%) as our tax calculator, applied per payment — a real winner's bracket could vary somewhat year to year depending on other income, and this isn't tax advice. See lump sum vs. annuity payout for the fuller picture.
